At the January 7, 2020 meeting the Board of Directors for McKinney MUD 1 voted to adopt a $5,000 disabled or over-65 tax exemption. Per the resolution, for the 2020 tax year, the District will exempt from ad valorem taxation by the District $5,000 of the appraised value of residence homesteads of individuals who are disabled or are sixty-five years (65) of age or older.
