For the benefit of all residents of the District, and for the purposes of preserving the appearance of the District and preventing sight and vehicle obstructions, any Vehicle is prohibited from remaining stationary, standing, parked and/or abandoned on or along any Roads, and/or unattended for more than seven (7) consecutive days. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Commercial Vehicle is prohibited from remaining stationary, standing, parked, and/or unattended on or along any Roads overnight. No Vehicle may be parked on or across a sidewalk, parked on any Roads in a manner that obstructs, impedes, or impairs traffic flow on the Roads, or impairs access to a driveway. An inoperable Vehicle is not
permitted to be parked, kept, or stored on or along any Roads. A Vehicle is deemed to be inoperable if it (a) does not display all current and necessary licenses and permits; (b) does not have fully inflated tires; (c) is on a jack, blocks, or the like; (d) is covered with a tarp, plastic, or other type of covering; or (e) is otherwise not capable of being legally operated on a public street or right-of-way.
Vehicles may be subject to towing at the owner’s sole cost and expense if not moved within 48 hours of receipt of the notice. The warning shall be given by placing a warning sticker conspicuously on the front driver’s side window of the Vehicle.
