Community Update 6/5/2020

Parks and Recreation

As of Wednesday, June 3rd, all B.B. Owen playground structures along with the disc golf course are opened to the public for use.

At this time, the splash pad and bathrooms will remain closed at Basecamp until further notice from the district.

Residents are encouraged to use the play structures, disc golf course, parks and trail systems while maintaining social distancing standards.

Emergency Notification Services

McKinney MUDs 1 & 2 Contract with CodeRED to Provide Emergency Notification Services to Community

Following the extensive and thorough evaluation and review of mass emergency alerting systems, McKinney MUD Nos. 1 and 2 (the “Districts”) have implemented the CodeRED system, a high-speed emergency notification service provided by OnSolve, based in Ormond Beach, Florida. Public safety officials across the United States have credited CodeRED notifications for saving lives, including locating missing children, apprehending wanted criminals, and issuing timely evacuations.

Lower Insurance Rates

Many of our families here in Trinity Falls saw an increase in property insurance rates after the closing of the Melissa Rd bridge. With the opening of Fire Station 10, we want to encourage residents to reach out to their insurance providers to have those policies reviewed for potential savings!

The City of McKinney Fire Chief has drafted a letter regarding the opening of Fire Station 10 addressed to the residents Trinity Falls (https://www.mckinneytexas.org/316/Insurance-Rating) which will provide the information your insurance agent will need in order to get your premiums reduced.

Acceptance of Basecamp and Park Area 4

April 1st the district accepted conveyance from Johnson Development of park area 4 and Basecamp, which includes Lake Freedom and Lake Forest. Please note that Basecamp, the playground structure and disc golf course remain closed. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the parks and trails system while maintaining social distance standards.

Community Update 4/28/2020

Waste Connections Update

The District has received confirmation from Waste Connections that they have resumed residential bulk pickup service in Trinity Falls with one exception. To schedule your bulk pickup, residents are asked to call Waste Connections for scheduling. Waste Connections hopes to transition back to the use of the app for scheduling sometime in mid-May.

Dog Park Update

We received notification that the water fountain repairs have been completed. Both the 2 legged and 4 legged fountains are now working.
