Code Red Termination and New Events and Alerting System

As we get closer to having the outdoor warning system installed within the Trinity Falls area, we are making a change to our current services with Code Red and moving to a new system for alerts and notifications. This new system will not be limited to only storm notifications, but also allow the district to keep you informed of events, maintenance, and other district related activities. This move will disable any storm notifications and transition you to know what is going on within the District.

Basketball Goals on MUD Property

McKinney Municipal Utility District No. 1 (“MUD 1”) has received numerous inquiries and comments regarding basketball goals in our community. The Trinity Falls DCC&Rs provide that basketball goals may be outside only during active use and must be stored out of sight when not in use. Due in part to the COVID pandemic and the delay in building a community basketball court, in August 2021, the MUD 1 Board adopted a policy that (1) permits the use of basketball goals on streets and sidewalks in MUD 1 and (2) prohibits the Trinity Falls HOA from enforcing the DCC&R basketball goal restrictions on streets and sidewalks owned by MUD 1. Plans for the construction of a community basketball court have now resumed. Once a community court is constructed, MUD 1 may resume dialog with the HOA on a transition plan that would permit HOA enforcement of the DCC&Rs relating to the use of basketball goals on MUD 1 owned streets and sidewalks.
